Welcome to the Community Central watercooler. This is a place to discuss anything about this Wikia. How you use it is up to this community. You can discuss the subject of the Wikia, or just the Wikia itself, or even add an off-topic area. See Help:Forums for more on how forums work, and how to add new forums to the index.

This is my first post to the forum. I want to see what the effect is of making a post to the forum.
I became interested in this type of forum after seeing one at Uncyclopedia. I noticed from Special:Version that <forum> is in the "parser extension tags" on each Wikia, so I searched the Internet for "MediaWiki forum" but never found any documentation on how to use <forum> ... </forum>.
Now I have a chance to actually try the forum (or I could have tried the one in Uncyclopedia!). --Kernigh 19:45, 31 May 2006 (UTC)
It is an extension written by Algorithm. The desc page is at m:User:Algorithm/DPLforum. Note that Wikia is not yet on the current version, so some features aren't active. Also, Algo is the author of m:User:Algorithm/RandomSelection which allows randomization in a wiki (and is also now installed and working on all Wikia, I believe).
There seems to be a caching problem with the index though, gonna add a purge link. --Splarka (talk) 00:58, 1 June 2006 (UTC)
